Review highlights

Based on 1,197 reviews

Wang's Shanghai Cuisine is widely recognized for its authentic Shanghainese dishes served quickly and fresh, reflecting a high level of kitchen efficiency. Diners frequently praise staples such as pan-fried pork buns, dan dan noodles, and handmade dumplings, noting rich flavors that are balanced and satisfying without being overly greasy or salty. The restaurant maintains a casual and no-frills atmosphere, with limited seating comfort and a cash-only policy, which some patrons mention as a minor drawback. Friendly service is often highlighted despite the brisk pace. Overall, the establishment is appreciated for delivering traditional, flavorful Chinese cuisine at reasonable prices, evoking a cozy street food experience reminiscent of China’s local eateries.

If u are looking for a fancy restaurant, nope that’s not it. But food is good here. Once u ordered, the food almost just comes right away cuz they always have line up at the door. Food is not readily made cuz they are hot and juicy. This is what we call efficiency! Pan fried pork buns is the best of all! Don’t expect service and comfortable seating but brought me memories of cozy China street stalls

*CASH ONLY* Fortunately there was no line up. We walked in and got a spot right away. **Didn't have to wait for food too long. Ordered food, and food was on my table BWANG (prob like 5minutes) **"Dan Dan noodle", most definitely recommended food. Especially if you like peanut flavour. Mhmm beautiful. **Side dish, "Beef roll!" BEEF ROLL YAHH! 10 OUT OF 10 **Atmosphere wise not the best, but good enough. They got tables to put food on and chairs to sit. Washroom is outside of building, don't forget to bring key with yah. I'll still give overall 5stars cause I can. Food was too good jahahaha Can't wait to go again next time.

Sooooo delicious! The beef noodle is not so greasy or salty.. which is reason why I love this noodle so much. And the dim sum is vest dimsum I ever eat.. Much better than Busan or Hongkong… And the price is reasonable too! Of course the staffs were very friendly!

We ordered the dan dan noodles (spicy), fried bean-paste noodles, and wontons in chili sauce. I had high expectations for the fried bean-paste noodles and wontons, but surprisingly, the dan dan noodles ended up being our favorite. I’m usually not a big fan of dan dan noodles, but these were very creamy, nutty, and moreish! They weren’t spicy for us, though. The lady who took our order seemed a bit concerned that two of us were ordering three dishes, but I didn’t find the portion sizes overly large—three dishes were just right without making us feel too full. Overall, I really enjoyed their food and would love to come back to try other dishes. One thing to note: they only accept cash, not even debit, so come prepared!

This little spot is QUICK for a reason! Our meal was so delicious, hot, and fresh. This came recommended as the best XLB in the area and we were not disappointed. Dumpling are handmade and brought to your table as soon as they’re ready. Cannot wait to go back! Make sure to bring cash!

The xiaolongbao and pan-fried buns are exceptional. The soup is perfectly sealed inside, and the meat juices are rich and flavorful, making each bite irresistibly good. You’ll find yourself wanting more with every bite. However, the wonton soup and beef noodles weren’t particularly impressive. But if you’re a fan of xiaolongbao and pan-fried buns, I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Everything you can order here is worth it. So much flavor in every bite. The beef roll had to be a sneaky favorite for me. The Shanghai style pan fried thick noodles are a must as well. Don’t know what magic Wang is doing in the kitchen but it sure is working.
